Fabric, or Office UI Fabric, is an open source UI framework from Microsoft, designed and released to allow other Web developers to create applications that utilize Office 365’s native style. The framework is easy to use, and is very similar to other tools on the market like Bootstrap and Foundation. Being properly namespaced, Fabric can also be used alongside these two whenever necessary. Fabric closely follows Microsoft’s Design Language, and comes with in-depth documentation, built-in components, and lots of samples. The framework is actually written in LESS and TypeScript, and compiled to standards-compliant CSS and JavaScript.
